Other Ministry Updates

We shared some ministry updates during worship, and also shared these in the bulletin:

Discipleship Hour

Starting next fall, we will have a Discipleship Hour in between our contemporary and traditional services. Our Christian Formation Committee is currently discerning what the Discipleship Hour will look like for our adults. If you want to be a part of this conversation, please contact Pastor Charlotte Bosecker.

Nursery Expansion to Preschool Ministry

Megan Allen is our new nursery director. She’s joined by five new caregivers and a few women who have been with us for years. Starting in the fall of 2023, Megan’s team will be launching a new ministry for PreK3 and 4 year olds. They’ll be using a curriculum called WONDER, which is written by the same organization that’s behind the children’s ministry program we currently use and is specifically designed for PreK children. We’re excited that starting this fall, our preschoolers will have their own space to worship and learn about Jesus and the importance of being His disciple.

Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC)

Our ECEC program is undergoing the state licensing process. Starting in the Fall of 2023, we will offer a two-day or three-day option for our two to four-year-old children. (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). Our enrollment is expected to be at or near capacity (170 children). Additionally, the session has approved adding an additional play structure on the West Playground that meets Texas licensing standards which will be installed in August.

Belize Mission Team

We commissioned this mission team during our service. Please pray for these participants in the coming weeks.
