2021 Lynn Scholarship Recipients

The Matthew and Tommy Lynn Scholarship Fund is dedicated to helping qualified students acquire a college education by providing financial assistance. This year, our committee met and distributed $15,000 in scholarship funds to the following students. We'll be recognizing our scholarship recipients at the 9:00 am service this Sunday.

2021 RECIPIENTS

Zainab Falana
Zainab graduated from Midland High School in 2019. She is participating in the Primary Care Pathway Program at Midland College and will be attending the University of North Texas this fall. Zainab’s family emigrated from Nigeria when she was 9 years old. She’s an active auxiliary volunteer at Midland Memorial Hospital.


Morgan Peck
Morgan is a senior at Midland High School. She will be the University of North Texas this fall pursuing a degree in social work. Morgan describes herself as “a Christian who is dedicated to loving my neighbor.” She plans to work for an adoption agency after college.


Josef Kaderka
Josef is a senior at Midland High School. He plans to attend Midland College this fall in pursuant of a degree in geoscience. Josef has lived in several regions of the U.S which has inspired his love of nature and meeting new people. After college he plans to become a land surveyor.


Madison Hansen
Maddie is a senior at Midland High School. She plans to attend Texas A&M this fall pursuing a degree psychology. She has participated in four FPC mission trips to El Progresso, Belize. She credits these trips with feeding her “desire to love and serve others.” Maddie plans to become a Licensed Professional Counselor.


Sophia Ortiz
Sophia graduated from Midland Lee High School in 2020. She was a 2020 Lynn Scholarship recipient. Sophia has spent the last year attending Barton Community College in Kansas. She plans to attend UTPB this fall pursuing a degree in elementary education. Sophia “can’t wait to become a teacher and inspire children.”


Kacy Miller
Kacy graduated from Midland Classical Academy two weeks ago. She plans to attend Texas Tech University this fall and pursue a degree in philosophy. Kacy loves to discuss the hard questions like “does man truly only do things out of perceived good?” She plans to attend law school and work in family law.
