Matthew Soerens, Vice President of Advocacy and Policy at World Relief, will be joining us on Tuesday, October 29 to talk about one of the most hot-button topics of our age, immigration.
As the election month approaches, immigration issues in Texas have become an important topic this year. This year is particularly critical for Christians who have the power to speak for just immigration reform in Texas. The church’s role as a beacon of hope for refugees and immigrants has never been more important or challenging in this politically divided climate.
For Christ-followers, we have a lens through which we navigate our way in the world. We can see immigration as a way to love the stranger among us.
What is a biblical framework for thinking about these issues? What are myths and what are facts? In this gathering you will get a chance to ask questions and meet other members of the community learning together in this space.
