Loving and leading all people
to deeper life in Jesus Christ

We seek to praise the Almighty by giving each person who feels God’s call an opportunity to share their musical gifts in vocal, handbell, or instrumental ensembles. We also strive to praise God in as wide a variety of repertoire as possible, ranging from unaccompanied spirituals to major works accompanied by full orchestra.

Our handbell ensemble rings at worship and participates in the annual West Texas Handbell Festival. Our fully-graded children’s choir program shares their gifts at worship, and presents Christmas and spring musicals. If you wish to receive more information, or would like to become involved in the music ministry, please contact Gregory M. Pysh at gpysh@fpcmid.org

Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir is the primary adult choral ensemble of the FPC Music Ministry. The Choir sings an eclectic repertoire for worship, from the classics of the sacred choral literature to anthems accompanied by string, brass, percussion, and jazz ensembles. In addition, the Choir presents major choral works ranging from the Requiems of Mozart and Durufle to Duke Ellington’s Sacred Concert. The Sanctuary Choir toured the British Isles in 1998, and sang by invitation under the baton of Maestro John Rutter at New York’s Carnegie Hall in 2006. Open to all from high school age to adults who wish to share their musical gifts in worship, the Choir rehearses Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in the choir room (224)

Agape Ringers

The Agape Ringers share their gifts both at worship and through the annual West Texas Handbell Festival. This ensemble rehearses Mondays at 10:30 am in the choir room, and is open to all who wish to raise a song to God.

For those interested in the 2019 Agape Ringer European Tour, you're invited to watch an informational video about the trip by clicking HERE.

Children’s Choir

Age 4 (by September 1, 2017) – Fifth Grade). Please register at the information desk.

Come join us and bring a friend as we make a joyful noise every Wednesday night that the Gathering meets. Special musical talent is not required to join!  We believe that all music offered to the Lord is beautiful to him, and we seek to praise him through our worship. We memorize Scripture through songs, dance, laugh, play, eat snacks, and then sing some more!  This year we will celebrate the birth of Jesus with a Christmas musical on December 3rd, and we will honor Him with a Bible story musical on March 25th.
